Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using Digital Accreditation Lab ("dal.ai"), a product of findbalans llc, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.

Description of Service

Digital Accreditation Lab provides AI-assisted tools for ABET self-study preparation and accreditation management across all four commissions (EAC, CAC, ETAC, ANSAC). The platform includes outcome alignment (mapping course outcomes to student outcomes), gap analysis, Criterion 4 continuous improvement tracking, evidence management, AI-assisted evidence evaluation, and self-study report drafting.

Subscription and Billing

dal.ai is a paid subscription service. By subscribing, you agree to:

• Pay the applicable subscription fee for your plan, billed monthly or annually, at the prices listed at dal.ai/pricing. Annual plans may be invoiced to your institution. Self-serve sign-ups begin with a 14-day free trial.
• Provide accurate billing information
• Cancel at any time. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period

User Responsibilities

You agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete information when registering
• Use the service only for lawful purposes
• Not share your account credentials with others
• Respect the intellectual property rights of dal.ai and others
• Not attempt to reverse engineer or compromise the service

AI-Assisted Features

dal.ai uses a commercial AI model provider to classify evidence, suggest outcome mappings, draft self-study text, and answer questions in the assistant. AI output can be wrong or incomplete. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying AI-assisted content before you rely on it or submit it to ABET or anyone else. ABET's policy on artificial intelligence requires that qualified personnel verify all materials submitted for accreditation review.

dal.ai is built for program-level accreditation work. Do not use its AI features to make decisions about individual people, such as grading, admission, discipline, or employment decisions, or in any way that violates applicable law or our AI provider's usage policies.

Availability

dal.ai's AI features are available only in the countries and regions supported by our AI model provider. Institutions incorporated or headquartered in an unsupported region, or majority owned or controlled by persons or entities in one, are not eligible to use dal.ai. AI features may be unavailable to users while they are physically located in an unsupported region. We may suspend or limit AI features where needed to comply with these restrictions or with applicable law.

Your Content and Student Information

You keep ownership of the evidence and documents you upload. Your institution decides what it uploads to dal.ai and is responsible for having the right to upload it. dal.ai is built for program-level accreditation evidence, not student records. Before uploading student work or other documents, remove student names, ID numbers, and any other personally identifiable information. If personal information is uploaded by mistake, a program director can permanently delete the file in the app. Deleting a file does not change self-study text that already quotes it, so review and edit that text separately. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of dal.ai, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, and software, are owned by findbalans llc and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

Disclaimer

dal.ai is a time-saving tool designed to reduce the manual effort of ABET accreditation preparation. It does not guarantee that a program will achieve or maintain accreditation. AI-assisted analysis is provided to assist program directors. All final decisions remain with the humans responsible for the program. Users should verify all information with their respective accrediting organizations and consult professional advisors as needed.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, findbalans llc shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of or inability to use the service. This includes but is not limited to loss of accreditation, data loss, or business interruption.

Modifications to Service

We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the service at any time without notice. We shall not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuance of the service.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Oregon and applicable United States federal law, without regard to conflict of law provisions.

Changes to Terms
