Digital Accreditation Lab ("dal.ai", "we", "our", or "us"), a product of findbalans llc, is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our website dal.ai or use our services.

Information We Collect

Personal Information

When you create an account or use our services, we may collect:

• Full name
• Email address
• Institution name
• Account password (held by our sign-in provider and never stored by dal.ai)
• Program and assessment data and documents you upload

Automatically Collected Information

We use Google Analytics and Vercel Analytics to understand how visitors use this website. Google Analytics sets cookies to do this. We do not use analytics data to identify you, and we do not sell it.

Security and AI Records

When you use dal.ai, we record sign-ins and sign-outs, including the IP address and browser used, to protect your account. We keep these records for 12 months. We also record each use of the AI features, and we keep the questions you type into the AI assistant for 90 days to prevent misuse and to improve our user guide. These records do not include the text of your documents or the AI's answers.

Student Information

dal.ai is built for program-level accreditation evidence, not student records. Your institution decides what it uploads and is responsible for removing student names, ID numbers, and other personally identifiable information before uploading. If personal information is uploaded by mistake, a program director can permanently delete the file in the app. Deleting a file does not change self-study text that already quotes it, so review and edit that text separately. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide and operate the dal.ai service for your program
• Send account, billing, and service-related communications
• Improve our services based on your feedback
• Respond to your inquiries and provide support
• Understand the needs of ABET program directors and coordinators

Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your personal information. All data is encrypted in transit using TLS and at rest. We follow industry-standard security practices to prevent unauthorized access, disclosure, or modification of your data. The dal.ai application and database run in the United States, and uploaded files are stored in North America.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share your information only in the following circumstances:

• With service providers who help us run dal.ai, such as cloud hosting, payment processing, email delivery, and the AI model provider that processes documents you upload. They are bound by contract and confidentiality obligations. Our AI model provider is not permitted to use your content to train its models, and it deletes the content it processes within 30 days, except content flagged for a usage policy violation or content it must keep by law.

• With your explicit consent

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate information
• Request deletion of your information
• Unsubscribe from our communications at any time
• Download the files you uploaded at any time, including after a subscription ends
